I want to tell you about the worse I
Day of mine. life. I had some bills I needed to pay. I had just gotten my tax returns. I went to the bank and cashes the check. I kept some in the bank. Some I asked for in cash. I was handed an envelope. I thanked the teller and left the bank.
I wore a coat, a green t-shirt, jeans, and sandals. I was having a good day. I was going to get some bills paid and get ahead a bit. What I did not. know was that the money in my pocket was counterfeit.
The last shipment of money to the bank was all counterfeit. It was all part of a clever scheme. The driver of the delivery truck was part of the plot. The bank truck was intercepted on its way to the bank. The real money was replaced with a counterfeit.
The bank’s money was combined with real and fake money and no one knew it. The bank tellers assumed that the money was real. Why wouldn’t it be? There was a long intricate process from the u.s mint to the bank. Like everything else, nothing was foolproof.
So unknown to myself I carried a but load of money in my pocket. It was all fake. I knew nothing of this. I was oblivious to that fact.
I got in my car. I headed to the office of my electric company. I decided to get my electric bill paid off first. I was excited to get that paid off..it was a quick drive from my bank to the power company office. I parked the car. I got out of the car. I worked in the office. I opened the door and went in.
I went up to the front desk. “Good morning!” the cashier said. We engaged in small talk. “How can I help you?” She asked. I showed her the bill and said that I wanted to pay the bill. “Do you want to pay off the whole bill?” She asked. I indicated in the affirmative. I wanted to get the bill taken care of. I wanted it gone.
I handed her the money..she looked it over and counted it. She stared at it. I had no. idea what was going on. I found this odd. She asked me to wait there. I was sweating. I did not understand what was going on. I never thought that it was something to.do with the money.
She went to her supervisor. “I have a customer who is passing off counterfeit money,” she said. She showed her supervisor the contrary money. She looked it over. It was very convincing. It was very clearly made but to. a discerning eye it was fake. I did not know what to look for.
The supervisor got their supervisor. He looked over the money. He called the police. They came out. “Mam your money was counterfeit. We have called the police.” The manager said.
I did a gulp. I did not know what to say. I was scared spitless. I did not know what would happen. I got the money from the bank. How could it be fake? What would happen to be?
They told. me to sit down. I tried to stay calm. I had never been in trouble with the law before. I did not even have a speeding ticket. I sat down. They said when you are in trouble with the law, don’t ask nervously. The authorities interpret that as guilt. I was scared. I could not hide that fact even if I wanted to.
I just sat there. They did not say anything to me. I did not say anything to them. I fully cooperated with them. I did not create any trouble. I was not sure what to do. If you are too calm, they assume you’re guilty. You know you are guilty so it does not bother you. If you invest in your innocence, you must be guilty because you protesting too much. I had no idea how to act. I knew the truth. I knew I was innocent.
I also knew our justice system. I knew that the innocent were sometimes wrongfully convicted. Sometimes they spent years in prison. Sometimes the guilty went free. I was not confident that good overcame evil in every circumstance.
After what seemed like an eternity, the police arrived. “What is the issue,” the officer asked.” This young lady tried to pass off the counterfeit currency,” the manager said. the officer looked over the money. I felt like my goose was cooked.
“Mam. This is counterfeit. ” the officer said. “I got it from my bank. I just cashed my tax returns. I had n idea that it was fake. ” I said.
“Mam I have to take you in,” the officer said. I complied. He put the cuffs on me. he read me my right. I was taken to the police car. I could not believe that this was happening.
I was 20 years old. I worked at a restaurant making sandwiches. I was also a college student. I took classes at a community college. I wanted to start my business selling novelties. I was buying and selling stuff on eBay. It was strictly. a side hustle. On this occasion, I drove for Uber.
I planned on working a normal job and having the business until the business took up. I wanted to get it. my degree first. My dad sold. a real. site. my mom was a stay-at-home mom but had worked office jobs.
I was the oldest daughter. I had two older brothers. I have seven younger siblings. I was very close with my family. I decided to move out on my own. I got my apartment. I wanted to prove that I could make it on mine. own. before today I had been making it.
The police car parked at the county jail. I was taken inside. I was turned over to the guard. I was uncuffed. I was frisked by a female officer.
I was fingerprinted. The officer ordered me to strip naked. I removed my jacket. I retracted it and pulled it over. I handed it to the officer. She looked it over. She pulled it inside and out. She determined that there was nothing out of the ordinary.
I pulled my t-shirt up. I pulled it to my head and pulled it completely off. She looked over my shirt as well. She determined that it too was fine.
I unbuttoned my jeans. I pulled them down to my feet. I took my feet out of the jeans. The guard took the jeans and looked them over.
I pulled off my bra. I then took off my panties. I was given a very uncomfortable cavity search. I laid down on an exam table. I had to spread my legs.y rectum was examined. The officer put her fingers up my but.
I was hosed off by a garden hose. I was sprayed, I washed and then I was sprayed again. I dried off in a towel. I was returned to intake.
“Put on your uniform. Your uniform consists of a diaper, bra, and hospital gowan. ” the officer said. It was explained that I would be barefoot.
I was shocked that I had to wear a dialer and a hospital gown. I put on the diaper. I closed the straps. It felt weird. It was squishy. I put on the bra. The officer helped me put the gowan on.
My mug shot was taken. It was put on a website. It was shared by many. I.was tagged as a hottie on one site.
I was taken to a cell. I chatted with. Two fellow inmates. They were very nice. Then I was taken to meet with an agent of the treasury department. I was taken to a conference room. “I am agent brent Dixon with the united states secret service. Do you wish to have a lawyer present ” Dixon asked? “No, I do not. I have nothing to hide. I plan to. fully cooperate. ” I said.
“Where did you the currently?” He asked. “I got them from my bank. I just cashed my tax returns. ” I said.
“What is your bank?” He asked. “Carlton national bank. It’s right on silica street. ” I said. I have questioned three ways from Sunday.
The police and secret service went to my bank. The teller confirmed that I had gone to the bank. the teller knew me very well. She was usually the teller I felt. with when I went into the bank. I did not know her outside the bank not knew her inside the bank.
The. secret service came. in. they searched for the money..they found multiple money that was counterfeit. They located the truck and the driver. The driver was questioned. The driver was questioned. He turned on his confederates. The plot was part of an international counterfeit ring.
I was returned to my cell. I spent most of my time in my cell. I enjoyed hanging out with the two ladies in the cell next to me. Angie was in her thirties. She was picked up for prostitution. The other girl was Katie. She was arrested for a hot lifting. We’re not in diapers and hospital gowan, it was like a sleepover.
We had our meals in the cell. The food was not so bad. It was editable. I was hungry.
It was almost bedtime. A guard came in. “You being released. No charges will be filed against you. You will be free and clear. Tiff”officer Erin said. I hugged Angie and Katie. I wished them. the best. I was glad that I was being released. I would miss them.
I was taken to take. I had a bunch of paperwork to sign. I made sure I read it carefully before I signed it. I was not a lawyer but I knew the law well enough.
I had wet my diaper multiple times..we only got one diaper change a day. I took off. my gowan. I took off my diaper. I was able. to get dressed. I was given my personal effects back. I looked them over. I singed that it was all there and in one piece.
I went to the impound. I got my car back. I went home. I was so tired. I did not undress. I got into bed with my clothes still on. I woke up. I had wet the bed. I was shocked. I took a shower. I put my clothes and bedding into the washing machine.
I was asked to make a statement. I made the statement. I testified in court. Those involved in the plot were tried. Most were convicted or made plea deals. A few were acquitted or convicted on the lessor charges.
Angie reached a plea deal. She did a few months in prison. She entered into a drug treatment program. I kept in touch with her. We became close friends.
Katie got a week in jail. She got probation. We went out for coffee as well. We became friends. I put this event behind me. I got my degree.I started a business. I married Katie’s brother. I had two kids.
This is a work of fiction and fantasy. This is in no way reflective of reality.
